I posted out of order because I had to go through all of my Christmas pics. If you can believe it I actually remembered to bring my camera on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning!!
I know I have said this before, but again one of my goals in the coming year is to blog more and take more pictures. I am sure my kids will be super excited about that!!
Anyhoo...
Even though my Taylor was a bit grumpy on Christmas Eve she did cooperate for a few pics!!
What is Christmas without a little "Cheer"!! In the form of a beverage!!! I am counting the days until I can join in on these beverages.
In true
Terri Dodd fashion...the best looking cookies you have ever seen!!! I am telling you people...these things are to die for!!
I am definitely not a huge fan of all the wrinkles on my face, but oh well it is not all about me and my sis looks great.
I
WISH I could take credit for this tree,
BUT I cannot!! All my mom!! And yes the wrapping paper matches the tree colors! She is
neurotic fun like that!!
Once I let her put her jammies on she was all smiles for the camera!!
Christmas morning came early like every year since Thomas was born.
OK so here is the back story. Short version...Thomas and Taylor did not see Santa at the mall like in all years past. They sat on Santa's lap at the preschool...no big deal...well for Taylor yes, but Thomas knew right away that the guy dressed up as Santa was his friend Barrett's dad. In fact his exact reaction was "Dad that is not Santa that is Barrett's dad!!"
Well we made him keep quiet and tell "SANTA" what he wanted for Christmas!! When he was concerned that the real Santa wouldn't know what he wanted I told him that Santa has many helpers and that Dean was one of them. End of story!!
Skip to Christmas morning and I hear the little pitter patter of feet coming into my room. Thomas was the first one up..no surprise there...and this is what he says...
"Mommy, Santa was here. He didn't bring me the electric scooter like I asked he brought me an Air Hockey Table. I think it is because we told the wrong Santa!"
Although I wanted to LOL literally...I told him that that is why you ask for lots of things so Santa has stuff to choose from and to wait until the day was completely over before he made his final ruling on Christmas 2011!! (Santa comes to Nana and Papa Dodd's house too remember)
Needless to say...Santa brought that electric scooter afterall!! I realized after the fact that I never got a picture of said scooter.
If you are wondering what it is Taylor is doing in this picture...well in our family ACTUAL stockings are not big enough for all the loot that Santa brings so we use gift bags. My mom and dad's gift bags are large enough for a small child...
Case and point!!
Aunt KiKi helped the kids pass out all of the presents. Now that they can follow direction they are required to help before the actual opening begins.
Among loads of other toys and clothes this was one of Thomas' presents...
Yep!!!
His very own bowling ball...an Arizona Cardinals bowling ball to be exact!! My dad will take him to get it drilled to fit him and only him!!
I am thinking I am going to be in the market for a kids pair of bowling shoes before long!!
Mommy and daddy got spoiled as well as the kids and like all the years past...Christmas 2011 was wonderful!!
Kids are on overload...the house is a mess...I am pooped and hoping the Christmas clean-up fairy will visit any minute!!
Not holding my breath though!!
How was your holiday?
