Week 1

In no way would I describe myself as SUPER MOM!!  I would say there are times when I display super mom qualities, but most days I am just happy to put three kids to bed and still have an ounce of sanity.

My hubby will officially be gone for six weeks.  He will fly home for TWO weekends during said six weeks.  Week one of my adventure as a single mom has proved to be trying at best.  I have cleaned up more puke in one week than I have in five years.  Both Thomas and Taylor have been sent to their rooms more times than I care to count.  I have contemplated loading everyone up just so I can go buy a bottle of wine multiple times, but frankly am too exhausted.

So after one week this is what I have learned...

1.  If I were a single mom I would hire a maid!

2.  If I were a single mom I would hire yard maintenance!

3.  If I were a single mom I would DEFINITELY buy wine in bulk!

I have complete and utter respect for any mom out there doing it on her own!  I truly don't know how they do it.

There is a saying... You don't know what you have until it's gone

Well it's true!!  And thankfully I only have to live this saying for six weeks.

Although my hubby works a lot and there are times I curse the fact that he does...

I TAKE IT ALL BACK!!

So here's to putting some good karma back out in the world and hoping week two is much less exhausting!!

863 Miles...

That's how many miles stand between me and my hubby right now.  And in six short weeks we will join him!!

Because if you haven't heard...

We are moving to Denver.  My hubby has achieved one of his biggest goals and has received a promotion.  I am so proud of him.  I'm not gonna lie though...I wish that promotion could have kept us right where we are at...but it has not, so I am trying to embrace all that this new chapter will bring us.  We decided that we would let the kids finish school and make the move at the end of May, so he's there and I'm here...with three kids and a dog.

Today was day one of single mom of three part 1...(Tom comes home for a visit in 2 weeks)

The morning went good...surprisingly NO fighting, arguing or crying!  We were on time to school and didn't forget anything!  Mid-day was good, but it usually is...Tatum napped for 2 1/2 hours and Taylor had lunch and played.

And then we picked Thomas up from school...this is always where our day takes its turn.

I was nice and took them for ice cream.  Seriously people...why can't my kids appreciate the things I do for them???  Their ice cream wasn't even settled in their stomachs before they were fighting and telling me how I am the meanest mom ever!  I am almost positive they are working together to keep me right on the edge.  They don't quite want me to jump, but they like to make me consider it.

Anyhoo...I am tired, but I live to blog about it, so I guess it was a good day!

On that note...here is an example of what makes it all worth it...

Completely Guilty

I have been MIA in blogland and I have absolutely NO good excuse.  But although I temporarily abandoned my blog...I still took pictures and tonight I finally sat down to catch up.

I won't bore you with too many words.

My funk lasted longer than I had hoped, but life has finally returned to normal and all is right.  In the last month we have enjoyed the sun...celebrated a holiday...celebrated a birthday...gone to baseball games...thrown a party...visited with family...experienced some milestones...AND tons more.

Now that I have caught you all up...stay tuned for some major changes in the Moore household.
