The First Day of The Next 13+ Years....
There he is...my little man!!
Yesterday was his first day of Kindergarten and he was very excited...
And his sister was pretty excited too. Although I had to break the news to her that her first day of preschool was still a couple weeks away.
Yesterday was a modified day and he was only there for about 4 hours...today on the other hand...he was there from 7:45-2:45!!
Seven whole hours...
I can honestly say it was a little weird to be without him all day today, but he had a great second day so I am just going to roll with it.

Dollar Tree Tuesday!!
It's been a while, but have no fear....
I am back with another Dollar Tree Tuesday!!
Although the heatwave they have been talking about on the news for the last week or two has not included good ol' AZ...we are still topping temps of 110.
In this house if we are not swimming at Nana and Papa's...
We are hanging out at home to stay cool.
I told the kids this morning if they were good we would take a trip to the Dollar store!!
As luck would have it...
THEY HAVE BEEN GOOD ALL DAY!!
Which brings me to my purchases....
I let the kids pick three new coloring books each!! Coloring books are always in abundance at the Dollar Tree and if you do some digging you can find all kinds of good ones.
Thomas' school supply list called for 2 bottles of hand sanitizer and 2 boxes of tissue. Tissue isn't that much more expensive in the normal grocery store, but why make an extra trip. Hand sanitizer on the other hand is a great deal. The bottles I picked up are pretty good size.
I needed some new bath sponges, so I picked up 2.
One of my Dollar Tree staples are the packages of latex gloves for that fun job of picking up doggy poop!!
And last but not least....
A new Hulk toothbrush for Thomas!! Normally I get a 2-pack of toothbrushes which is an even better deal, but Hulk one was pretty cool.

Roughing It!!
We ended Tom's week vacation with a weekend camping trip in Sedona. It was in the 80's all weekend and even a little rain came through. I am happy to report the trailer stayed dry and cozy.
My kids got the REAL camping experience this time though...no hook-ups for the trailer which meant when it got dark...it stayed dark. Toilets...well lets just say that my Thomas waited until Sunday when we got home to go poop. TMI...well it was hilarious and needed to be said. Outhouse style toilets were not their cup of tea. And showers...well there were some, but we opted out.
All that said though...they still had fun.
Tom taught the kids how to fish and well...I am not sure they are ready for the sitting and waiting that comes with fishing. Patience is a must when fishing and they are lacking in that area.

Bribery works and it is not beneath me to use it...
I love taking pictures and that includes taking pictures of my family. Honestly if it wasn't for them I probably would still have my tiny little Olympus camera. But when I had Thomas I vowed that I would take tons of pictures...
And I have!!
But sometimes want more than just candid pics...I want smiles and kids that actually look at the lens.
In order to achieve this...
BRIBERY!! I will admit that it is not beneath me to bribe my kids for good smiles!!

I fear the day this dogs head falls off from Taylor carrying her around by it, but it is awfully cute!!
No name...just Pink Doggy!!
