Blogging While Bathing

No No...

I am not the one bathing.

That would just be weird.

And besides... on the absolute, rare occasion where a bath actually has my name on it blogging is the furthest thing from my mind.

No No...

The kids are the ones bathing and I am the one blogging.

Anyway...

I have decided that my Taylor is going to become the definition of "Terrible Two's".

I predict that in the not-so-distant future her picture will be what one sees when they google "Terrible Two's"...if someone actually had to google this. I mean I'm just saying.

I haven't quite figured out whether Thomas was not nearly as bad as she is or if I have completely blocked it out.

But I know one thing is for sure...

Her devil horns may be VERY WELL hid, but they are there. And even better she is a smart devil, which frankly... makes it even worse.

She blames Thomas when he is no where near the "scene of the accident", she tries to get him to do her work and... he will too and she thinks that throwing us a charming smile will excuse everything.

There are moments when you don't want your kids to get older and you constantly say "Wow time flies!" and "Oh remember when..."

Then...

There are moments when you wish you could use the good ole fast forward button and just skip this boring scene.

I mean I'm just saying'

Bubbles and some Babbling....

I don't want to sound repetitive, but well...

...I am going too!! I know it was only a post or two ago that I told you how much better kids make things (some things, not everything), but it is true.

We spent the day at my moms and of course it was beautiful Arizona weather, so...

We were outside most of the day.

The kids played with the bubble machine that my aunt bought them and they loved it (when they weren't fighting over whose turn it was to push the button of course).

They laughed like I haven't heard them laugh.

Taylor kept trying to catch the bubbles and Thomas gave her tons of encouragement.

As I am sure any mother of multiple kids would agree...when your kids play nicely together the world is a better place. Well a mothers world anyway.

Oh and if I haven't said this before...

It is these same moments that make me contemplate having another one.

On that subject I think I really need to do something to make this not an option. One of these moments could very well get the best of me and I am afraid my hubby wouldn't talk me out of it.

Ugh!!

I just sold all of my baby things at a garage sale...

Ugh!!

Yeah it is SOOOO not an option for me.

Why did I always want three kids before I ever had kids??

I feel like it had something to do with only having one sister growing up. I might and I use the word might very lightly here people, not have appreciated her and had this longing for another sibling. Another option if you will.

Oh I love my sis.

But neither of us can deny the amount of fighting we did as kids.

Oh and I am pretty sure she occasionally had the same feelings. I think she even asked my mom to give her another sister. We're good now...

No worries.

I digress...

These two are just going to have to be happy with each other.

Lets play "Guess the theme?"

We celebrated Taylor's 2ND birthday yesterday with friends and family. A little late, but since all of my aunts came into town I figured Taylor would never know the difference. I mean someday she might, but by them I am sure she will have a long list of other reasons why she needs therapy besides us celebrating her birthdays late.

Anyway, back to the subject. Each time a birthday comes around I get it in my head that there needs to be a theme. Don't get me wrong I have loved every one (probably more than my kids, lets be honest they couldn't care less what the cake looks like just as long as there is one) but it gets the better of me every time.

I picked out my cake (or cupcake cake if you will) and just ran with it. I made cupcake toppers and a banner (with the help of my mother of course). My mom has a new obsession with sugar cookies and when I saw that there was a mouse ears cookie cutter, well....

I just had to have it.

My mother is amazing people...

I know you are probably thinking that I am bias and a bit over exaggerated, but she really can do it all.

She found that cookie cutter and just whipped me up some cookies that not only tasted great, they looked SOOOO cute.

It was a wonderful afternoon with good food and great friends and family although Taylor still isn't quite old enough to really get the whole birthday thing.

"LET ME OUT!!!"

I often find my kids at the fence doing this...

I once heard Thomas yelling...

"Let me out!!"

"Let me out!!"

See, we live on a golf course and even better we live on the tee-box of the 6Th hole. The cart path goes right past our fence. The golfers pay little attention to my kids and likewise my kids pay little attention to the golfers.

But on some rare occasions they like to try and strike up a conversation with the golfers.

Thomas has now passed this wonderful trait onto Taylor apparently.

I found her at the fence yesterday afternoon.

"HI!!"

"HI!!"

Radio Flyer...

The weather in Arizona right now is absolutely wonderful. I mean I am not trying to anyone jealous that woke up to rain, but well I'm just sayin'...

This is the weather that makes the summer heat bearable.

Productivity is greatly increased with sun and flip flops. OK not really, but my mood is much better.

Anyway, the kids of course are playing outside as much as possible. I push them out the door any chance I get right now. We are only a few months away from avoiding any daytime, outdoor activities, so TV off and outside you go.

I was doing some things around the house in the early evening yesterday and looked out the sliding glass door.

This is what I found..

Thomas had come in the house at some point and grabbed his pillow. He was just laying in his wagon.

It was one of those times when I had to quietly grab my camera. I did NOT want to ruin this moment.

He just laid there...

It was one of the cutest things he has ever done.

I wondered how long he had been there. Come to think of it, I hadn't heard him in a while. He just looked so content and for some reason he looked so grown up to me. I kept waiting for him to roll over and see me.

He did eventually.

And then the moment ended as quickly as I had stumbled upon it.

Kids make everything better... WELL MOST OF THE TIME!!!

Holidays have a whole new meaning when you add toddlers to the equation. Each year they are a little older and understand a little more.

And frankly....I LOVE IT!!

All of the moments that I feel like pulling my hair out...And let me tell you, there are times...are completely forgotten when days like yesterday come around.

I had to work in the morning, like every Sunday morning might I add, so I did not get to see their faces when they found their Easter baskets. But let me tell you that my little Thomas can explain things to me in a way that makes me feel like I was there.

My hubby called me after the big event and I could hear the excitement in the background. Thomas got on the phone and told me that the Easter Bunny brought him and Cookie baskets full of fun stuff. I asked him if he had left anything for mommy...

"No mommy, the Easter Bunny did not leave anything for you, but he brought me two pairs of goggles and Cookie didn't get any, so I gave her one of mine."

I mean... HOW SWEET IS MY SON?????

Anyway, after I got off work we headed to my parents house for two more baskets, a very YUMMY dinner and an intense Easter Egg hunt.

Look at their faces in anticipation...

If it wasn't for mommy and Nana helping, Cookie wouldn't have gotten any eggs.

She did though and in the end things were pretty even, but Thomas ran around like a crazy person. When there is money to find... He is all about it these days!!!

Yes...we hid one in the outside refrigerator and yes it was in between some beer.

It will not come as a surprise that I was taken tons of pictures. My mother was making fun of me and only because I above her snoody remarks am I opting to leave the pics of her out. Well and because she is my FREE babysitter.

Buyer BEWARE....

This is the result of the GEO trax train set that my mom got Thomas.

Taylor was none too happy when my mom went to remove the train from her hair.

This happened when the kids were staying at my parents while Tom and I were in Vegas, but it happened again last Wednesday right before we were headed to school.

There should be some sort of warning on the box!!!
