Tomorrow morning we wake up just the four of us!!  After a nice, relaxing Memorial Day weekend hubby goes back to work and it's just me and the kids!!

My list of 32 fun things to do this summer is posted on the refrigerator and my fun jar of coordinating, number sunshines is on the counter!!  After the kids finish some chores around the house in the morning they will get to draw their first sunshine!!

If I am being honest I am just as excited as they are!!

Summer vacation has officially started in the Moore household!!  

At 11:15am we pulled out of the Kinderbugs Preschool parking lot for the last time (well for two months anyway).  

Now begins the countdown to the first day of school!!  Ha...I kid, I kid!!  

But really...I plan on putting together a schedule of things to do for the next 8 weeks!!  I would much prefer to report back with no new drinking problems and happy kids, so hopefully my good friend PINTEREST can help me!!

Hand Me Some Tissue Please!!

Yesterday was a big day around here!!

Two of my little people had graduations!!

This one...such a little trooper!!  It was so stinkin' hot out already!!

 

 Thomas and his buddies...Jett and Ryland! The Three Musketeers...all scored 4's (highest rating) on everything except Displays Self Control...of which they all scored a 3, needing a little improvement!

 I can't say it enough...I cannot believe he is going to be in 1st grade!

 

 And... My little Taylor!! Only one picture of my girl because I was in the middle of feeding my other girl!!

  It was a wonderful day and I am so proud of my munchkins!!

Her Big Day

Saturday was recital day and I am not sure who was more excited...Tom or Taylor!!  Oh what am I saying...Tom was definitely more excited.  Year two for Tom and the annual Dad's Dance and he has been practicing almost as much as Taylor!!  The pressure was amped up a bit since my parents were in attendance this year.

Tom practiced all day and Taylor did what Taylor does... she fought me about everything.  Her bath, her hair, her dress, her make-up (yep...she has to wear a little make-up) and of course pictures!!  An event in our house would not be complete without someone complaining about pictures!!  When are these people going to get it...I TAKE PICTURES...LOTS OF PICTURES!!

3 Months

Guess who's 3 months old?

Yep!!  You guessed it...my Tatum Marie!

No number stats to report because we didn't have to see the doc for three months, but I imagine her 4 month appointment will make up for that!

However I do have some other stats...

We are officially on a schedule, although when I say schedule I use the term very loosely.   I have NEVER been one of those "I have to be home because it's nap time" kind of moms.  Frankly I just think that's crazy, but to each is own!

Anyhoo...

Lil sis is sleeping from about 8pm-6am every night. 

Lil sis takes about 2-3 naps a day for anywhere from an hour to 4 hours!!

Lil sis loves her swing, loves the couch, loves just about everything...unless she's hungry!! 

Lil sis is smiling, giggling and making all sorts of noises!!

Lil sis just isn't so little anymore!!

Along For The Ride

If someone asks me for advice I gladly will give it, but generally I make it a point not to just throw out unsolicited advice!!   However, this is MY blog and today I am choosing to throw some out.  Sanity is something I treasure...I hold it very close to me and try very hard not to let these little people that I call my children steal it from me.

How do I keep my sanity you ask??

Every day I get up without thinking about the day before, good or bad and I leave the house!!

That's it!!

I leave the house because staying home 24/7 just doesn't work for me!  Whether it is just to go to Starbucks or a full day of errands...I leave the house!!

I did it before I had kids and I do it now!!  My kids have all gotten good use of their car seats and Tatum is no exception!!  Thankfully she is just like her brother was and LOVES her car seat!!  She is perfect just about 98% of the time when we are out!!

She goes with me everywhere!!  Sometimes our stops are long enough that she actually gets to stretch her legs...

And when she gets tired...she sleeps!!

She helps me keep that sanity that I hold so dearly!!  And always gives me something to smile at!!
 

Today I Can Say...

I will be the first to admit that everyday isn't play dates and ice cream...in fact most days there are tears and time-outs!! The potential is there though, everyday I wake up with a "Today is a new day" attitude. Honestly, I am no expert, but I think that is the one thing you have to do if you have any prayer of making it through this thing called motherhood.


Mother's Day 2012 started off like any other day, well I guess if every other day your husband took the kids to buy you Starbucks which mine does not so...scratch that!! Mother's Day 2012 started off like any other HOLIDAY!! Hubby took the kids to get me Starbucks and I enjoyed the 20 min of peace and quiet!! I am not going to lie...that 20 minutes was the only thing peaceful about the day!


I will sum it up for you because it was more one of those "you had to be there" kind of days!!

Today I can say...I have the best job in the world, I get to be a mom to Thomas, Taylor and Tatum!! Sunday I might not have said it so emphatically, so I decided to wait a day or two!!

Keepin It Real

After my failed attempt on Easter of getting a nice picture of all three of the kids together I decided that the best solution would be to pay someone else!!  You know...because paying someone else is the likely solution when your kids won't listen to you!  God forbid they JUST LISTEN to you!! 

Anyway...I loved the way our family photos turned out and as luck would have it Shannon Worley Photography was having a little Mother's Day Mini Session!!  Well it turns out that was the only lucky part about it because my kids were as cooperative for her as they were for me!!  

Apparently I am not meant to have a picture of the three of them actually smiling!! And you know what...that's ok!! 

 

Why is it ok you ask?? 

Well because these are my kids and if they did exactly what I asked when I asked, I am not sure I would recognize them!! These pictures keep it real I guess...they just seem to do a little better on their own!

Spoon Full of Sugar

It's that time of year again...

Recital time!! The big event!! The less than two minute performance that Taylor has been practicing weekly for one hour since December!! She had recital pictures last week and because I always cross my fingers hoping for really good paid for photos, I took her. But because I do not hang all my hopes and dreams on the fine people of McMedia Photography...I took a few of my own!

 

 And although I am only showing you two...there were quite a few more and hence this photo to end our mini photo shoot!!
