Last year you might remember that I did a two part post about...

Garage Sales!!! And some of my best tips.

I love a good deal, I love thrift shopping and I am always looking for a treasure!!

Unfortunately the thrift stores are what they are...and you really have to take the time and have the patience to look through everything to find your treasures!

Garage sales on the other hand...well I have no control here either, but I can offer some of my best advice and tips. Why am I offering up these tips??

Well...Saturday morning my mom, my cousin and I had ANOTHER garage sale!! Although we had quite a bit less this year, we still made almost...

I am not lying when I tell you that 90% of what we sold was for $7 or less. I say this only because every time someone asks me how we did and I tell them...their immediate response is, "What are you selling?"

Big Man!!

It has started again...

Teeth are getting loose and they are falling out. Or as someone has done around here...BEING pulled out!!

Last week Thomas lost one of his top front teeth, the right one to be exact!! Well the one right next to it was then loose and hanging there by itself!! Unfortunately I was so busy I did not take a picture, but he looked like a hillbilly for most of the week.

Well, Sunday Tom asked him if he could pull it out. Of course Thomas ran away and was not having it.

SO WE THOUGHT!!

He actually went into the bathroom and just pulled it out himself!

I couldn't have been more proud!!

And he was pretty proud too!! (And a little queezy too I think, it bled a bit)



I think one of the reasons I am most excited about having another baby is that this one...my first baby...is a big man now!!

Is he ready?

I wonder if Tom is ready to have another little girl in this house!!

We got more than we bargained for with Miss Cookie...I wonder what Miss Tater Tot (this would be the name Tom has chosen to call Tatum once she arrives) will bring us!!

Did you have a nice weekend?

I can honestly say that I did DESPITE the fact I got virtually nothing on my long running "To-Do" list accomplished. Saturday morning I was up before the sun waiting in the cold outside Taylor's preschool to get her registered for next year. The lengths I will go to get what I want!! I am happy to report she will be going to school 5 days a week for 3 hours every morning!! WAHOO!!! Hopefully by then her distaste for school will have changed!! Fingers crossed!

I headed straight to football afterward and I promise next weekend I will take loads of pictures. I have been quite the slacker this season and have not one single pic. I will report that Thomas' team is 1-1 so far and he has scored 2 TD's. We have 5 more games, so still plenty of time to capture the season.

We did absolutely NOTHING else on Saturday and I actually wasn't too torn up about it.

Sunday morning Thomas went bowling with my dad and after I did my weekly grocery shopping Tom and I took Taylor to the pond to feed the ducks again. $1 worth of bread, but a priceless amount of fun!!

Tay would feed the ducks everyday if I would take her, never gets boring!!

These Carp were ridiculously huge and stealing all the bread from the ducks!!

She wasn't quite sure about how close this one was getting to her!!

In {MY} Dreams

Have I mentioned that I am pregnant?

Well...

I am!!

I am pregnant...like REALLY pregnant!! Like I can't sleep, I have heartburn EVERY night, by the end of the day my walk has morphed into a waddle and I literally roll off of my bed, out of my car and off the couch pregnant!

Yep...I AM PREGNANT!!

Counting down the days and secretly hoping that they got my due date wrong and I have her a little earlier than planned. That's how pregnant I am!!

Anyway...

At about 4ish every afternoon my patience runs out and nice mommy turns into grumpy mommy.

Nice mommy wears cute boots and takes the kids to have ice cream after school!! She is everyone's favorite.

Grumpy mommy however, is NOT everyone's favorite. Grumpy mommy has been known to yell...A LOT!! And grumpy mommy dreams of things like this....

A secret room that no one knows exists except mommy!!!

A room that is filled with all things ME!! And absolutely no kids allowed!! Especially whining kids. Or kids that do not listen!! Those kids can NEVER know of the secret room.

This is my dream...

Not a new car or a lavish vacation, but a secret room!!

Boy could I fill those shelves to hide the silent secret that would be behind!!

But my reality does not include secret rooms and quiet spaces!! My reality includes rooms filled with loud and crazy kids. My reality includes two kids and a dog that follow me EVERYWHERE!!

I LOVE my reality, but...

Well, this mommy has dreams!

The Gift I Couldn't Resist

I am not even going to try and tell you otherwise because I would be lying...One of the best things about Taylor dancing is all the cute outfits she wears.

I can see how someone with endless amounts of money and no self control could go nuts on dance clothes because they are so stinkin' cute.

So of course I could not resist the Black Friday 50% coupon that the dance shop offered. I think I was a little more excited than Taylor was, but oh well.

Last week her new outfit from Nana won over mine (I am pretty sure it was because of the Hello Kitty leg warmers), so this week she wore the one I bought her.



It might have been a little cold out, but surprisingly she didn't grumble when I asked her if I could take a pic of her new outfit.





Having a girl can be trying at times, but she makes me smile more times a day than not so it makes it all worth it. Although I would be lying if I told you that I am not crossing my fingers for a little less high-maintenance from this next little girl.

For all the days in the summer when people laugh at the temperatures we endure and continuously ask us why we live here??

To those people I say...

"Flip flops and sunglasses!" And nothing else!!

The Cook Monster loves her new bike!! Oh and in case you are wondering...she is the one that pulls her helmet forward...she won't wear her sunglasses while she is wearing her helmet, but says the sun is in her eyes. Oh well...whatever floats her boat!!

Oh...Thomas has a new bike also...he also has an ELECTRIC Scooter, but what does he ride...

His old razor scooter!! I make him wear his helmet when he rides this scooter just to annoy him. I would prefer him to be riding one of his newest modes of transportation!!

Taylor found a perfect little route and repeated at least 100 times before she parked the bike to pick flowers, blow bubbles and boss me around!!

My 5!

I thought I would share the five things that (it seems) I cannot live without!!

I can say with absolutely no hesitation that the best gift Tom has ever given me was my Nook last Christmas!! I read more...WAY more!! And as a bonus I can now play my new addiction Words with Friends!

It would be pretty safe to say that 5 out of 7 days a week I have a turkey sandwich for lunch. Although mine do not look quite like this one...they are delicious just the same!! We shall see if this is a pregnancy thing or if it sticks!

Most of the time you will find me drinking water during the day, but lately I have been indulging in some very yummy blood orange beverage. Although I do not buy it very often because I get a little VERY irritated when anyone in my house drinks it. Is that bad?

I KNOW this is not the first time I am mentioning this...if you are not pinning you should be!!

And...

Last but not least...

I really wish this was not on my list, but it is!! I have been munching on these every night since I got pregnant. Just one more reason why I am ready for Little Ick to make her debut. The kids call them "Mommy's candy"...yea I wish!

Brother of the Year!!

Today was officially the last day of Christmas break for Thomas (Taylor went back to school Monday) and it was a great last day!! We started the morning with duck feeding and park with our friends The Tavenner's and The Stott's, then it was off to dance class and then we spent the rest of the day at home.

At first the kids growled when I told them we were home for the day, but after lunch they were as close to perfect angels as they get.

They played outside for a few hours, which itself is amazing because usually when they are outside they fight almost immediately. Then they came inside and went upstairs and played. Again...no fighting!! Who are these kids??

Well I snuck upstairs and found this...





I looked past the huge mess and found Thomas being the best big brother. Dressing Taylor's doll in exactly what she wanted just the way she wanted. They didn't see me at first and I think I was the happiest mom ever. These are the moments that simply make it all worth it.

If you don't know my Taylor personally or if you simply have not believed me in the past...she can be quite bossy...and high maintenance...AND did I mention bossy?? Because of these fine traits playing with her isn't always the most exciting thing to do. She tends to make it not all that fun frankly.

Today she was in rare form and her brother was amazing!!









Eventually they saw me, but SURPRISINGLY they kept playing. Of course Taylor had to point out how messy her room was. She was probably shocked that I didn't care. They told me they were practicing dressing the doll so they would be ready for Little Ick! How sweet is that?

Have I told you that I love these two kids?
