I know it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I mentioned we were having the basement finished! I should be telling you that it's done and has been done for a few weeks now, however as with most construction projects THEY ARE BEHIND SCHEDULE!
I am hoping to have reveal pictures at the end of next week (let's be real...even if I do...you probably won't see them until next month)!!
For now though I will give you a little catch up on how it started and how it's been coming along. And because I know you will be wondering...I have added some illustrations so you get an idea where we are going. Excuse the lighting in some pics...I am just proud I remembered to take pics from beginning to end!
As you can clearly see...it was in pretty good shape when the project started!! Wink Wink!!
Within the first two weeks we could see our basement being transformed. Construction moved forward while we were on our road trip and when we came home this is what we saw!!
Walls!! We have walls!!!
We put all tile floors in except the bedroom and stairs!! Having 3 kids and a dog makes a mom HATE carpet!!! This first pic is bad lighting, but the second pic shows how amazing the floors turned out! The grey on the walls is the same color I painted the entire upstairs!! Our goal is to eventually have 3 cohesive floors!!
I couldn't quite get my hubby on board with a solid white subway tile shower, but when I threw in the accent strip...he jumped on board! I'm not gonna lie...I feel kind of fancy with my built in niche. No need to buy one of those stupid hanging shower organizers!! WOOT WOOT!!
Yesterday our carpet was installed and that is where I'll leave you!! Here is a sneak peak before all the final things are done!!

Moore Summer Road Trip
Better late than never...that's my motto right now...I'm just going to need you to roll with it!!
Our big vacation this summer was our road trip to Washington!! All 5 of us crammed in my hubby's car for a 2600 mile round trip adventure!!! And an ADVENTURE it was!!
No pic of the Idaho state line because I missed it!!
It was actually a pretty uneventful drive until we were 3 hours from our destination!! If you missed my Instagram post or you didn't hear the story...my hubby had a run in with a median. Let's just say the median won!! To my hubby's surprise I did not let it ruin our trip...life happens...RIGHT?!
We had an amazing time at Jeff and Shannon's property in Oroville, WA!!
It was my kind of camping...not too much dirt...a nice clean pool...a REAL shower...good food...and GREAT company!
I can see Canada!! Next time I definitely want to make time to ride the quads to the actual border! One of these days my little Tatum will stop freaking out every time I leave her sight...enter eye roll!!
Naps while you're camping are the best!!
We had so much fun!! If it was just a little closer we would definitely make the trip more often, but for now it will have to be a once a year thing. Thank you Jeff and Shannon!!

Their First Day
I know I know...I am late! I will say this only...I feel good I am getting to this before the snow starts falling.
So without further ado...
We officially have a 4th grader...a 2nd grader...AND a PRESCHOOLER!! Can I get a woot woot?!
And because this wasn't Tatum's official first day of school mom got to take pics a week later...unfortunately Thomas was acting like an ass (hey it's true)...so only the girls took pics for me.
I can't believe all 3 of my kids are in school. I now have 2 hours to myself Monday-Thursday. I know it hasn't yet included blogging (obviously...lol), but so far it is proving to be a very productive 2 hours.

PART 2
We had four days to recover from our holiday weekend before we headed out on our big road trip!! Road trips are not everyone's THING, but Tom and I don't mind them. It might have something to do with how our recent flights have gone. When you've experienced a 2 year old practically getting you kicked off a plane not once but twice...driving doesn't seem at all like a bad idea!!
We had planned to rent an SUV because I didn't want to put the miles on my car, but instead we took my hubby's car. It was a tight fit, but what I learned was this...it really doesn't matter how much room the kids have or don't have...they will fight regardless, complain regardless, get along when they feel like it and sleep when they want. Oh and bribing them with cold hard cash HELPS A LOT!!
1. This was how Taylor slept the entire time...completely covered. This was also how she played on her iPad...honestly I didn't know if she was awake or asleep half the time.
2. My favorite fast food restaurant...TACO TIME!! I can only get it when I'm in the NW, so we had it twice!! Super Soft Taco with Mexi Fries and a Rootbeer!! YUM YUM
3. They do get along...proof in this selfie!!
4. One of many selfies Thomas and I took while we waited for the tow truck!! Oh yea...we blew out two tires. Just a minor hiccup that I did not let ruin the rest of the trip.
5. Another selfie before our quad ride!
6. Camping naps go hand in hand!!
7. Thomas started off riding behind my hubby, but by the end of our trip he was the one driving!
8. Taylor getting a pool lesson from Uncle Jeff...I have a sneaky suspicion that a pool table will be on their Christmas lists this year!
9. Taylor and Tatum with Athena!!
It's been a very long time since we've been camping and even then it was nothing compared to this trip. Camp Kavanaugh is definitely my kind of camping! It was worth the 40 hour total drive time to and from!

Played Pool
Played Ping Pong

Rode Quads
Went for walks
Ate More
Talked A LOT
Took Naps
Laid in the hammock
Ate even MORE
Fished
And laughed A LOT

30 Days of Summer...PART 1
I won't even try to convince you that I don't have mental countdown for the first day of school. If you know me...you know I start counting down the day summer starts. However, we've been so busy lately I haven't had as much time to day dream about that day as in summers past.
Since I checked in last my parents came to town for a week...our good friends The Harding's came for a long 4th of July weekend...and we took a 20 hour road trip to Eastern Washington to visit my hubby's family. Oh and let's not forget our basement is being finished also. Only four days separated our guests and our trip...I had just enough time to do some laundry and pick up the house. It's been crazy, but so fun making memories!! And although I haven't been on the computer much...I have been taking pics, so no worries...I am about to unload on you.
When my parents were in town Thomas, Taylor and my dad went indoor skydiving!! If you can't tell from the pictures they loved it. And I loved watching them!! It was hilarious!! It will definitely be something they do again!
1. All smiles before their dives!!
2. Hot weather calls for popsicles!!
3. While my parents were in town we got a sitter and had a nice dinner out just the four of us.
4. 4th of July weekend was extra fun this year...and we actually set off fireworks for the first time.
5. Thomas and Allyssa...hard to believe they became friends at the age of 2.
6. An intense game of hand slap (or whatever it's called) between Steve and my hubby.
7. Every time we go to the zoo we take her pic with a gorilla.
8. Little feet...little bowling shoes!!
9. I got up close and personal with this guy...no zoom...he was really that close.
The Harding's and The Moore's have been friends since 2008...to be exact...1 month before I gave birth to Taylor!! I can't believe it has been that long, but so happy that we are still close!! I hope this was the 1st annual Harding/Moore 4th of July trip.
Stay tuned for the last leg of our month of fun!!

These 3
I can't believe on August 10th I will have a 4th grader, a 2nd grader and a PRESCHOOLER!!
Man the time flies.
I'm pretty sure I just graduated from high school! No??
Well, some days it feels like it!
Some days NOT SO MUCH, but most days I don't feel a day over 25!

Where Do I Start
I am not even sure where to start. Summer break is in full swing and thankfully the weather has started to cooperate. I'm not kidding when I tell you I have been crazy busy lately.
That's a good thing right?
I wish I knew what has happened to me over the last few months. The procrastinator in me has been silenced for a while. Another good thing right? Well it is...except that when I start doing all sorts of projects I tend to spend money.
I keep telling my hubby that we are making the house our HOME!!! For whatever reason he isn't totally agreeing with me. It might have something to do with the fact that our basement remodel is starting in a few weeks and it a pretty hefty project.
I know it will be totally worth it in the end, but if I am being totally honest...I too have a little lump in my throat every time I think about how much money we are spending.
Anyhoo...
Like I was saying.
I have been crazy busy lately. In between trying to keep my kids occupied for the summer I decided that I was NOT happy with the color of the inside of our entire house. I thought it would be a great idea to paint IT ALL!! And I did!! It didn't start off as smoothly as I had hoped though. I wasn't happy with the first TWO colors I chose. Who knew GREY was such a hard color to work with? Apparently everyone but me! Blue undertones....brown undertones...frankly EVERY color that I chose looked different on every wall.
I finally chose a grey and have now painted EVERYTHING!! Well everything except the bedrooms and my fun tangerine wall that I painted when we moved in.
It looks fabulous and now...time to paint ALL OF THE TRIM...WHITE!!! Yes...I know I'm crazy, but seriously I hate the oak that is EVERYWHERE!!
Do you remember thesefabulous ugly curtains that were in my family room?
Well...I know that the nice lady that used to live here paid good money for them and I know they are of great quality! But I REALLY did not like them. My hubby told me it was not currently in the budget to buy all new blinds though. Enter sad face!! I knew that I wanted white blinds, but have looked and for once my hubby was right. I have not pressed it and was learning to live with them.
And then...
Trash day came!!
Yup...for the first time ever I picked up someone's trash. To be fair though...it wasn't like I went digging or anything. The owners of a house right up the street had nicely and NEATLY wrapped up their WHITE blinds and set them on top of the garbage can!!
I drove by and then I quickly whipped it in reverse. I had a pretty good feeling they would work in my house because...same builder...same window size. And guess what?? I was right!!
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was...and still am for that matter. All three of the blinds in the family room were replaced and the blinds in Thomas' room. All we had to do was buy the hardware.
Now I have the ability to let in as little or AS MUCH light as I want!! I will now need some window treatments for above, but for now...they are just perfect. Someone's trash was definitely my TREASURE!! And best of all it saved me over $300!!!
Man I love a good deal!!

I've been busy...so much so that my mom said "Who are you and what have you done with my procrastinating daughter?" I've been checkin' things off my list left and right and I am loving it.
1. About a minute before I ran out to buy Tatum some clothes that actually fit I decided to look through stuff I have saved from Taylor...WE HIT THE JACKPOT!! This was the first outfit she chose.
2. Tatum and I got to tag along for Taylor's class field trip to the zoo...it was so much fun!
3. The weather wasn't fantastic at the zoo, but it gave the girls an excuse to wear their rainboots and do a little splashing!
4. Our new addition to the patio...I AM IN LOVE!!
5. Tom finally finished my backpack wall...only 5 more days and the backpacks will hang for 8 weeks...BUT in 8 weeks all three of my kids will be heading off to school!
6. If you are in need of ribbon...I'm your girl...I have a little bit!
7. Another project checked off my list...A 4 post bed I refinished for Taylor! $5 on Varagesale (a virtual garage sale app I have on my phone)...Annie Sloan chalk paint and VOILA!!
8. Nature's candy...nothing beats a delicious cantaloupe.
9. Another treasure I found on Varagesale...fresh coat of white paint and now Taylor can display the mini shoe collection her Nana gave her!

It's been a while, but I am determined to get back to my normal routine and back to things I love!!
1. Saturday Taylor and I snuck out for a pre-Mother's Day pedicure date...it was super yuck weather out, so lucky us we had the place all to ourselves.
2. My hubby tried to cover the tomatoes, basil and cucumbers...sadly though...the snow was so heavy I don't think they made it.
3. Looking out my window on Mother's Day morning...an exact repeat of LAST Mother's Day!
4. My hubby was nice enough to do the shoveling though!
5. She came and told me she was ready to go out in the snow!
6. Saw some flooring at Costco that I am considering for the basement!
7. All that wonderful snow is making for some seriously GREEN grass!
8. Tatum begged me to paint her toes...10 minutes later she had picked it all off!
9. I did some serious stock up on bathroom supplies! Shouldn't need toiletries for a LONG time!

5K
I am so proud of Thomas!! Yesterday morning he ran his first 5k! 9 years old and he ran the entire 3.1 miles with a smile on his face!
Home Run for the Homeless at Coors Field!!
The starting line...I wasn't sure I would see him, but thanks to the socks he was wearing I did!
They ran inside Coors field before they hit the finish line...this was when he had just jumped up to high five his dad and sister!
LOL...he looks like he's walking but I assure you he was running!!
Him and his buddy Jack after finishing! Maybe this is the first of many! I love this kid!!
