Jerry's World

I don't even know where to start...my sister and I just spent 3 amazing days in Dallas.  So, if I haven't told you...my sister has this bucket list of sorts to see EVERY football stadium.  And although I would LOVE to see them all with her I know that is never going to happen.  BUT my wonderful hubby has agreed (reluctantly) to let me tag along on a few.  Last summer she came to Denver to see Sports Authority at Mile High...easy because I live here.  This year though we planned to travel somewhere we had never been.  We combed through the schedules and our calendars and finally decided on DALLAS!!

We woke up crazy early on Saturday morning to catch a flight out and hit the ground running.  The food was great, the people were nice, the roads SUCKED and Jerry's world was well worth the money!!!

Our first stop...some delicious Texas BBQ.  It did not disappoint!

We thought we were going to hit Six Flags Over Texas, but decided touring AT&T Stadium sounded a little more fun...AND IT WAS!!

If I really were a Cowboys fan I would have bought this, but I still had to try it on!

On the field!!!

Heading into the Cowboys locker room...or as my sis referred to it...Romo's walk of shame!

Speaking of...

I will never look at that podium the same when I see it on TV...and can I just tell you how BRIGHT the lights are.

I made her do it!

The players walk through this fan-filled hallway when they take the field and of course there is this amazing star on the ceiling.

Just havin' a beer!

That star is a lot bigger in person...and we couldn't resist partaking in the cheesy photo op.

We saw some pretty cool buildings while driving through Dallas...on our way to get pedicures.  Mine was relaxing and wonderful...my sisters...not so much.  She thought the guy was trying to murder her feet.

Uncle Julio's....BEST MARGARITA I have ever had!!!!  Yup...that's a fresh grapefruit slice on top.

 My delicious meal!!!!!!
Another gem we found...the diner for breakfast.

 Traditional stadium jump!!
So excited for the game!

Just in case you wondered what the stadium looks like from the 400 level!!

Can you tell we were having a good time?!

Sunday started the month of honoring the military during NFL games and after the National anthem was played...these guys repelled down from that RIDICULOUSLY HUGE screen and as if that wasn't cool enough...so did that German Shepard...and yes I got tears in my eyes.  It was pretty cool!!

Because it was SO good...we went back our last morning for some more breakfast.  That is our bill...$15.63...for two full meals and drinks...and an extra biscuit.  See...good food and great service doesn't always cost a fortune.

Loved the back of the building!!

Couldn't resist the urge to see where JFK was killed...Sixth floor Museum at Dealey Plaza...we just drove by, but now we know!

More beautiful, old buildings in downtown Dallas.
We spent our last hours doing what we do best...shopping...then a quick stop at Starbucks and off to the airport where we parted ways.  It was awesome and I am so grateful to have the relationship that I do with my sister.

I can't wait to find out where we are headed next year!!

Halloween Party 2014

Well another Halloween party in the books and after all was said and done...it was definitely worth all of the exhaustion.  We had a packed house full of kids and adults, lots of food and tons of drinks.  It was loud and hectic and I loved it.

And in true fashion I only took a few pictures because that's what happens when you're the host.

Some of the delicious food we served, but not everything because my giant table still isn't big enough..lol.

The prize and game table!!

Tom and I!!

Our good friends Rob and JoJo!!

Our new friends and neighbors...Robyn and Tom!

More new friends and neighbors...Michelle and Jeff!!

This panda costume made me laugh all night...and Tatum was scared to death of that panda head, but Rob had to take it off for most of the night!

It was such a fun night...and although I'm glad it's over I was already thinking about next year!

I know you are wondering where my kids are and although I took very few pics at the party I did take a few of the kids, BUT...

You will have to wait until Saturday morning to see pics of them!!

Halfway Over

I'm not quite sure where the month of October has gone, but according to my calendar it is half over!  I have a party to finish planning and two costumes to finish making...oh and I need to settle on what my hubby and I will be dressing up as also.  So much to do and all I really want to do is take a nap.

My parents left this morning and it is never a long enough visit (for me)...I'm 99.9% positive they were looking forward to some peace and quiet.  No such thing as peace and quiet in my house unless it's in the middle of the night and even that isn't a guarantee.  Don't believe me??  Ask my parents and they'll confirm!  Thomas had his last official football game this weekend and his party.  My mom and I missed his party to attend a Ladies Only party of our own.

Aren't we cute?!  Only missing my sis!!

The party was really fun, but confirmed I needed to amp up my own Halloween party!  So much to do!!!

It was another great visit and as usual I can't wait for them to come back!!

Lil Kicker

It is a rare occasion when either of my girls would rather be with my hubby than me.  They are definitely mommy's girls.  But when these rare occasions occur...I try to really take it in.

Just to be clear...these pics were taken with a zoom lens...she really was far away from me.

Sundays

Our Saturdays are consumed with all things Thomas, so naturally our Sundays should be devoted to Taylor.  She's playing soccer again for her third season, she loves it and as a bonus she is on an all girls team.  Their record only reflects amount of goals scored rather than the heart put in.  They have only won one game, but they never stop trying.  I admit that soccer is not my favorite sport, but when you're watching your own kid play...exceptions are made.

These girls love PINK!!!

36 Hours

On Friday night I left Denver for a quick 36 hour trip to Seattle.  I went to celebrate my friend Heidi and her soon-to-be-born baby girl Tinley.  I got to see quite a few girls I went to high school with and boy did we laugh.  To say that we all have great memories is an understatement.

Jaime is now the lone survivor...the only one of us WITHOUT kids.  Her time is coming though...I can feel it!!  For now...she is Auntie Jaime!  Here she is with me a week before Tatum was born and 9 weeks before Heidi is due.  Hilarious right?!

She loves those baby bumps!!

Proud Mommy

My kids make me proud everyday...OK most days, but this weekend getting to see Thomas step onto the football field for the first time was one of those moments.  He would NEVER admit it (mostly because it would mean mom and dad were right), but he had been nervous about this whole TACKLE football thing.  I knew though that it would only take his first tackle to squash that fear and he'd be great.

AND

I was right!!  After his first big tackle he came off the field with his thumbs in the air and a huge smile.

It's going to be an awesome fall!!

 Thomas and his buddies!!

Waiting for his first official weigh-in...and apparently doing a quick adjustment!!

 Serious business these weigh-ins!!

National Anthem!!

 Coin toss!!

I love seeing his name on that jersey...and my favorite number!!

 His first play on defense!!

This picture makes me smile from ear to ear!!

I put my camera down after this because it was getting in the way of my screaming and clapping!!
