My love for shopping!!

Just to name a few!

But besides those wonderful things...this summer I have found a few OTHER things I love!!

Please let it be a lie that this is "LIMITED EDITION"...or maybe not.  This ice cream is AMAZING!!  I mean I could eat the entire pint if I had the right excuse.  Oh who am I kidding??  I DO NOT need a "good" excuse to eat the whole pint.  

Thanks to my mom...a bag of these lasts maybe a day in my pantry.  At least this snack is a little better for me than the above.  Have you tried these??  You should...they come in way more flavors, but these are my favorite.  $1.00 at Safeway this week!!

 If I am not drinking water...THIS is what's in my cup!!  The only person I have to share with is Taylor, but if you know her...you know she isn't the best when it comes to sharing.

I have found a few new shows on TV that have done an excellent job of filling space until all of my fall shows return.

There is a new show on ABC called Motive and I love it!!  I like it because there are no ongoing story lines...just a simple crime show with a start and a finish!!

Thanks to my oh so favorite morning television The TODAY Show...I found out about this show.  It's on CNBC on Tuesday nights.  It's about a guy (lol...can't remember his name) who invests millions to save failing companies.  

And of course...my guilty pleasure of every summer... Big Brother might be the worst reality show out there, but I can't stop watching!!  Thankfully my mom and sister watch as well so we can chat about all of the idiots on the show!!  If you watch then you know exactly what I am talking about...if you don't...DON'T START!!

 

AND...

Although there are tons of great songs on the radio right now.  Tons better than this one I know...but when this song comes on...my Taylor sings her heart out!!  She thinks she knows every word, but I am 99.9% positive some of the words she is saying are not even words at all.  Oh well...her mom has been known to botch a song here and there!!

Another week come and gone. 

From top left:

1.  Last Saturday it was 1/2 price day at the Goodwill and I scored these matching beauties for $3.00 each.  

2.  Sunday we took a drive to the outlet malls to pick up something for my dad, but the drive called for HIS and HERS!!

3.  She absolutely loves trying to drink the water while the bath is filling up!

4.  If you can't find Tatum...check the dog kennel...she likes to hang out in there!

5.  If you can't find Thomas...check out front...he rarely comes inside if he doesn't have too.

6.  Tom found Tatum stuck in the fabric cube that usually is filled with toys...she was perfectly content.

7.  Mile High Stadium...My sis and I will be there at the end of August the Broncos/Cardinals preseason game.

8.  Keep her happy and busy if you want to enjoy a meal out!!

9.  I finished my weekend off with a little more thrifting...Do you love my new JELLIES?

A Typical Day (these days)

I am not going to lie...I am not going to candy coat it...

If you looked up the definition of BEASTS...you would see three pictures or one picture with three kids...MY KIDS!!  Yes...I am including the little one too.  If I were being completely honest I would say that the little one is the ring leader.  I know I am not the first mom to utter these words, but seriously... " WHAT did I do to deserve this?"

Taylor thinks Thomas stinks...

Thomas thinks I am the MEANEST MOM EVER!! (his words not mine)

Tatum likes to hit!!

Tatum likes to scream for NO APPARENT REASON...her favorite time to do so...when you are in a store and it seems like the quietest moment!

Thomas slams doors a minimum of 10 times a day...and not always because he is in trouble...sometimes just to bug me.

Taylor disagrees with Thomas about EVERYTHING...but when he isn't around...she complains that she is BORED!

Thomas complains about every dinner set in front of him!  Seriously...even pizza warrants some sort of complaint.

Tatum throws everything that she no longer wants.  Food, her cup, toys!!  You name it she will try to throw it.  If you're lucky she doesn't throw it AT YOU!!

Taylor complains about simply having to leave the house.  There is no such thing as a simple trip with this girl, she hates EVERY store equally.  Don't believe me??  When my mom was in town we went school clothes shopping and to avoid her throwing a fit...my dad bought her a smoothie and sat on the comfy couches with her while she played on the Ipad and we shopped.

Seriously people....
Can a mom get a break?  And I don't mean a break away from these kids...I mean a break from this madness.  

The weekend is minutes away...my hubby asks me what I want to do all weekend.

I don't care what we do as long as it doesn't involve...COMPLAINING, HITTING, SCREAMING or BACK TALKING!!

What are my chances??

I'll let you know on Monday and I will leave you with a few pictures I forgot to post a while back.  And yes...I know these pictures make them look like angels...personally I think it is part of their cover!!

Bittersweet

Well I am not going to lie...after we moved here it took me almost two weeks to STOP crying.  I cried when I though about my family...I cried when I thought about my friends...I cried when I thought about the fact that I didn't have a babysitter...I pretty much cried over everything.  Imagine  postpartum crying only MINUS the baby.

Anyhoo...You get the picture.  But each day it got better and then it stopped!!!

YAY!!!

Fast forward five weeks and my parents come to visit.  It was a GREAT visit!!  I hope it was the first of many, although I would not blame them if they chose a hotel next time.  Wink Wink!!  But then I had to drive them to the airport...UGH!!  My funk started again about a minute after I left the airport, but I am happy to report I only cried a little bit!!

I realized something as I drove away...

The scary part was over.  I already knew what it felt like to leave, but now I knew what it was like to have them come visit.  It still sucks to live away from my family, but I am so lucky that I have the relationship that I do with my parents and I don't have to wonder IF they will come visit I only have to wonder WHEN!!

What would a visit with Nana and Papa be without Mini Golf and The Denver ZOO?!

To Be A Kid Again

I finally downloaded all of the photos off of my camera since we have been here.  It's been a few weeks since we took the kids to Parker Days, but these pictures made me laugh, so I had to share.  Although Disneyland will always be the preferred destination...kids are just as happy with rickety old fair rides. 

Case and point...

Apparently Taylor doesn't weigh enough to stay on her side of the ride...

$60 worth of tickets...$20 for food...a minor sunburn for mommy...

ALL worth it to have an awesome day as a family!!

I doubled up on the photo dump this week because I haven't blogged at all.  My hubby has been home most of the week (surprisingly he isn't driving me nuts yet), so we have been out and about a lot.
