A...Another month has come and gone and I missed it!

B...Been budgeting with my hubby and it has actually turned out to be a rather fun challenge, as I have figured out I like to spend money about as much as he does!!

C...Can someone please inform my children I am not their maid? 

D...Disneyland, we are going VERY SOON!!

E...Eighty Four days until Christmas...In case you were wondering!!

F...Finished ALL of my laundry this weekend, but pretty sure I have another full basket already!

G...General Hospital is my biggest guilty pleasure!  If I am being honest and with my readers I always am!

H...Halloween decorations are up! Are yours?

I...I made the kids super cute autograph books for our trip to Disneyland...you can see them here.

J...Just because it is fall don't think the temperature reflects it here in AZ...because it does not!

K...Kids' school conferences this week, I am pretty confident that Thomas and Taylor save all their bad behavior for me, so conferences should go good!

L...Love that my sister cleaned out her closet and ended up filling mine with things she no longer wants!!

M...My baby has a serious case of "I can't be without my mommy" and I need it to end...yesterday!

N...Note to self...need to mop, my baby is crawling!

O...October is my second favorite month...a very close second to December!

P...Packing is my least favorite thing about traveling!!

Q...Quite possibly could be our best family vacation yet!!  Possibly, I'll let you know!

R...Recycled old, broken crayons and made fun flower shaped ones with Taylor and she thought it would be nice to give all the kids in her class!!  Love her to pieces!!

S...So glad all my favorite shows are back!

T...Thomas' football team is 1-1!!

U...Unfortunately for the pigeons that have taken up residence on my roof my hubby bought a BB gun!! 

V...Very soon I should be pigeon free!! 

W...Went to a movie this weekend with my friend Jackie and her sis...long overdue night out!

X...Xtra time is very hard to come by these days!

Y...Yep, I had to give Tatum ANOTHER hair cut! This time we hit the mullet!

AND

Z...Zilch...I got nothin for Z people!!

Playing in the Dirt

I decided yesterday morning...very randomly and very last minute....that I wanted some new pics of my Tatum.  So...I gave her a quick diaper change, picked out a new out fit, grabbed a cute blanket and headed for an area I thought would work great.

Baby in one arm and camera/headband/keys/blanket in the other hand, I made my way down a gravel pathway and laid the blanket down.  I quickly put her headband on, hoping she would leave it alone just long enough and I laid her on the blanket. 

And ALL she wanted to do was play in the dirt.  No sooner could I get the blanket straightened out and she was heading for it again.  It wasn't as easy as I had hoped by myself, but I got 5 good pics and that was 5 more than I had before.

All things considered my 7 month old baby cooperates better than my 6 and 4 year olds!! 

A Flare For The Dramatic

For those of you that have not had the pleasure of seeing Thomas play football in person this post is for you...

Don't be alarmed...he is just being DRAMATIC!!  And because his mom is so compassionate, you can usually hear her yelling at him to suck it up from the sideline!!

No Denying It

If you aren't familiar with the babies first year...months 7 and 8 are two more unimportant months.  To the doctor they are unimportant, to me they are two more months reminding me how close she is to turning 1.  They are two more months that remind me how much farther she is from the N that reads on the few tiny clothes left folded high in her closet.  They are VERY important months people!!

So since we last checked in not a whole lot has happened...well unless you count GETTING HER FIRST HAIRCUT!!  I know, I know...my baby girl is WAY ahead of the curve on this one.  She still has no teeth and she could definitely benefit from some core workouts (girlfriend cannot sit up, she just topples over like Humpty Dumpty on the wall), but she has had her first haircut!!  Because I thought it would be a little weird to take her to actually have someone else do the cutting...I opted for propping her up in her seater and doing it myself.  It only took me about 10 nervous near cuts to get the one I needed, but I did.  It was only her bangs, but she sooo needed it!  I plan to tackle her mullet this week with some help.

As for everything else...

Like I said, most remains the same just more of it all.  She scoots more, eats more, talks/screams more, laughs more and most of all....

She makes me smile more!

It's What Consumes Us

It's that time of year again where our weekends are almost 100% consumed with football.  It starts on Friday nights for Thomas' practice and if you include what brings our family together...NFL...it doesn't end until Sunday night!!

As you can imagine there is no lack of enthusiasm from Thomas.  He loves his team, he loves his number, he loves absolutely everything about football.  Saturday was his first game...a little scrimmage...and it was as if no time has passed.  Well until you realize that the last game he had our little Tatum was only 3 days old and the fact that we will be purchasing new cleats this week as his  feet have grown!!  This time of year puts a huge smile on my face!

2/3 of my heart belongs to these two girls, the other 1/3 belongs to their beanpole of a brother!! 

I sure hope their love for each other sticks around!!

Stay-cation!

Last week we took a little stay-cation thanks to my parents!!  I picked up Thomas early from school...picked up Taylor...dropped the dog at the kennel and we headed to The Arizona Grand Hotel! 

Minus the fact that I still felt like I had to pack everything I own...it was a PERFECT little one night trip.

There was a lot of swimming, lazy rivering, water sliding and just plain relaxing!!

 

I hope this isn't the last stay-cation we take!!  It was the perfect end to summer (OK we are in AZ so really summer will stick around at least another month and the kids have actually been in school since July but whatever)!!
